Raffa’s American Bistro is the first restaurant to open in the King’s Harbor Waterfront Development located in Kingwood, TX. The interior is spacious with soaring 25 foot ceilings and 12 foot windows that overlook the water and the plaza. With this stylish architecture design and rooms that accommodate 160 patrons, it quickly became clear that they had an acoustical problem. The owners needed an acoustical product that eliminates the reverberation and provides an attractive exposed ceiling. K-13 black was applied 1.5 inches thick to the ceiling area to provide an NRC of .90 and did not interfere with the architectural design.
