Acoustic control is an important design consideration for sports facilities due to the open design and acoustically reflective surfaces generally present. Due to its exceptional sound absorption properties, K-13 keeps noise levels and reverberation low, allowing full utilization of the gymnasium and adjoining facilities. The high performance, patented adhesive adheres to concrete, wood, metal, sheetrock, glass and most other common construction materials. It provides a strong durable and resilient bond that is resistant to damage from the inevitable ball impacts. The high light reflection of K-13 White evenly distributes and maximizes the available light throughout the gymnasium. K-13 is also available in beige, tan, grey, light grey, black, and specially matched colors. Sports facilities such as gyms, indoor pools, aerobic centers, tennis courts, and hockey rinks are a small sample of projects in which K-13 can be utilized.
