K-13 in White is a “home run” for the Razorback’s new, state-of-the-art batting cages. Designed by HKS-an international firm headquartered in Dallas, Texas, specializing in the design of sports centers and stadium projects. The Hunt Family Baseball Development Center is the latest in a series of renovations and additions to Baum-Walker Stadium which first opened in 1996. The 49,000 square foot facility includes an expanded locker room, team meeting room, strength and conditioning center, training room, nutrition center, student-athlete pitching and development lab, and an in-venue batting tunnel.
To address the need for acoustical control in the batting tunnel, K-13 in White was spray-applied to the exposed metal decking. The application of K-13 absorbs echo, reverberation, and excessive noise to ensure speech intelligibility and acoustical comfort. K-13 in White also provides high light reflectance value and compliments the sleek, high-performance design. K-13 is GREENGUARD Gold Certified and contributes towards a healthy indoor environment for athletes and coaching staff.
